After ten sessions with both the Boys & Girls Club and the youth shelter, it was bittersweet in our tenth session as we made the final touch-ups to our murals. It was tear-jerking to see that some of the participants were hesitant to leave because of the relationships that were built and bond to this project.

This goes to show the incredible impact that Vibe Arts has on a community and its members, but it is never goodbye forever with this organization. With the resourceful and generous lead artists at Vibe Arts, there is continuous outreach to the same communities which sustains the relationship they have with Vibe. The lead artist at the youth shelter provided the participants with other organizations around Toronto for them to pursuit their passion for art. He gave the participants the information to SKETCH, an organization that provides studio space, workshops, and mentorship to young artists.

In addition, the lead artist at the Boys & Girls Club has built a strong relationship to the staff and community at the centre and has implemented multiple workshops at the site. Although, there are still a few more sessions with the Boys & Girls Club for the 150 Reasons murals, I will surely attend beyond the completion of my internship.
