MASTER OF TEACHING ACADEMIA

Research Article

"The topic selected for the research article focuses on the implementation of the project approach (PA) or any other type of interdisciplinary teaching approach and its impact on students’ engagement and classroom inclusivity. The questions that arose from the topic were; Would students feel more passionate, motivated, and/or confident in learning in a project-based curriculum? Would the project approach’s versatility easily accommodate for students’ individual needs? Can interdisciplinary curriculums effectively enhance students’ academic achievement? And finally; can the PA be efficiently executed in junior grades?  This topic is significant to the field of education because society’s negative stigma against the school dynamic can affect students’ attitudes towards learning in a classroom environment. Therefore, if the PA can indeed increase students’ engagement and can be meaningful to all types of learners then it will be an integral teaching strategy for all educators to practice." --from Annotated Bibliography

Composition on Leadership Positions in 'Scarborough'

The novel encompasses unconventional leadership styles of women that emphasizes and empowers multiple individuals to prosper in their educational journey. Although these characters are fictitious and not fall into the “political correctness” of a Eurocentric education system, they demonstrate an ongoing issue within the current academic leadership; How can unconventional leadership styles and marginalized leaders, such as mothers and racialized educators coexist and thrive equitably in colonized institutions, such as the education system?" ---from composition
